Adirondack Financial Services

History of the Firm

Adirondack Financial Services Corp. shares common ownership with Adirondack Bank, a privately held local bank with over 100 years of history and experience in meeting the financial needs of individuals, corporations, and not-for-profit organizations throughout Central and Upstate New York. Since its inception in 1898, the bank has been defined by integrity, service, and community involvement in everything that they do.

In November of 2007, Adirondack Financial Services had a change in leadership and structure and is now headed by William F. Locke, CFA, who has assumed the position as CEO of the company. In that capacity, Bill brings with him over 20 years of trust management and investment counseling experience. Additionally, Bill has been asked to sit on the board of Adirondack Bank in the capacity of a director. As CEO of Adirondack Financial Services as well as a director of the Adirondack Bank, Bill will have complete autonomy over Adirondack Financial Services as well as influence the overall direction of the parent company, Adirondack Bank.

Under the strategic direction of Bill Locke, Adirondack Financial Services has been restructured into four separate divisions. Each of these divisions is truly a Center of Excellence for those services that they provide. The four divisions, which have a combined staff of eighteen professionals, are:
